My brother’s girlfriend, MJ, joined us here in Austin a few days after Christmas. Her first day here in Austin we gave her the Keep Austin Weird Tour. We started out with breakfast at Kerbey Lane for some delicious pancakes. MJ is a big fan of pancakes and she really like the Gingerbread Pancakes.
Next we stopped at Cavendars for MJ to pick a pair of boots, because no trip to Texas is complete without a pair of cowboy boots. Then we went to the Town Lake Pedestrian bridge for a view of the skyline.
Then we went to South Congress for a little shopping. We also stopped to grab a snack at the trailer park eatery.
I highly recommend the Pomegranate Lemonade at Fry Baby. It is so good. The perfect amount of tartness and sweetness.
MJ enjoyed some good Thai food from Coat and Thai.
Neil and Dad enjoyed some gourmet hot dogs.
And then we went to Hill Country Weavers, which is practically heaven with a price tag to me.
And then of course, to end our fabulous keep Austin Weird Tour, we went to Alamo Drafthouse for a movie and dinner.
