Project 365: 64/365 Austin Kite Festival
This Sunday was the Annual Austin Kite Festival. I’ve never been to the Kite Festival before, mostly out of hesitation over the crowds and trying to park. But my friend Eva wanted to go as well, so I did a little research and found out you could park far away from the park and take a shuttle to the festival. It dropped you off right at Zilker Park and was wonderful. Eva and I had a great time. We’d brought a little picnic for ourselves, so we walked around for a while, found a spot to sit down and watched the kites while we ate. It was a really low key atmosphere and we could leave whenever we wanted. Yesterday was the perfect weather for it. A little wind, the perfect temperature and a beautiful sunny sky. I only wish there were some clouds in the sky to break up all that blue sky for a better picture.
